iTunes Becomes Largest Music Retailer in US

We wrote about how West Coast artists need to embrace digital distribution earlier in the week and yesterday our point was proven by Apple. In a press release, Apple confirmed that it has:

• Sold over 4 billion songs since iTunes inception
• Sold more music than WalMart
• Is the largest Music retailer for Jan and Feb 2008
• Has 50 million customers

Is there any doubt that digital distribution is the future?

If you want to help getting your music on iTunes, send me an email and I’ll help you out. Like I said before, it’s not expensive (Less than $100) and it opens your music up to a HUGE audience. Don’t get left in the dust.
