Ya Boy to Attend Showcase in NYC; Major Announcment Soon?
Ya Boy is in New York tonight and preforming at the AllHipHop Breeding Ground Talent Showcase. For those in New York, it’s at SOB’s on the Corner Of Houston & Varick Streets. Ticket Prices: $10 in advance / $15 @ door. Ya Boy is headlining the showacse and it should be some good promo for him.
Ya Boy’s DJ Digital Product also let fans know that an announcement should be out soon regarding a major distribution deal for Ya Boy’s precise music group label. Anybody care to bet on who will distribute it?

DJ Quik Offers The Fixxers CD For Free Download
Got an email today and it looks like DJ Quik is offering the canceled Fixxers project for Free download on his MySpace. I think this version is mixed and mastered, but I’m on my laptop with 10 cent speakers today and can’t really tell. Either way, free music is good. Quik put up the first 6 tracks today and it looks like he’ll be adding more over the week.

Devin the Dude has a new album coming out October 7th called Landing Gear. I’ve heard a couple of tracks from it and it sounds like some vintage Devin shit. I was a bit worried than Devin might loose his place after leaving Rap-a-Lot records last year (Even though, but this track confirms my fears were misplaced.

Jay Rock, Problem, Bangloose, Yung Bruh - Bonified Hustla
Compton producer Dem Jointz has a compliation album coming out soon. He recently released the first single called Bonified Hustla and it’s a fucking banger. I’m serious, this track is one of the best new tracks coming out of the West I’ve heard in a while.
Featuring New West heavy hitters Jay Rock, Problem, Bangloose and Yung Bruh, this track has a superb beat and it really shines. It reminds me a bit of Busta Rhymes Touch it, but with a West Coast feel.

Vacation is Over, Updates to Resume
Sorry for the lack of updates. Went on vacation and had some updates scheduled to post automatically, but I had the year listed for 2009. Doh! Oh well, updates will resume on a semi-normal pace.
Glasses Malone Release Dates
Glasses Malone recently sat down with Kevin Nottingham for an interview. Malone talked about a bunch of projects and gave a couple of release dates. First, the Fuck Glasses Malone mixtape is due September 20th, Next up is the halloween themed mixtape Monsters Ink on October 7th, and finally G Malones first major album Beach Cruiser is due November 18th on Cash Money Records.
